Bobby McFerrin will come to Szczecin with a new, innovative venture "Gimme 5".
The author of the most positive song in pop music ("Do not Worry, Be Happy"), will perform during the spring tour with the unique project "Gimme 5". Bobby, along with four great musicians: Joey Blake, Judi Vinar, Rhiannon and David Worm, will first create live songs called "Circlesongs" and then give them a live interpretation straight away. One of the group's first concerts, held in Boston in 2018, was acclaimed by the press as a musical revelation.
Winner of 10 Grammy Awards and one of the most famous vocal improvisers in the world, over the years surprised the audience with the juggling of rules adopted in classic music genres. That will be the case this time. The audience will be invited by the artists to co-create a capella concert: whistling, stamping, purring, clapping, imitating echoes, making unverified prayers, in a word: issuing sounds that liberate free soul. What McFerrin has been interested in for years is sharing with the listeners an incredible sense of freedom that comes from singing and performing live. Common experience of music, creating an agreement without words, exchange of positive energy are things that dream for McFerrin when we meet him on stage.
Bobby McFerrin has sold 20 million records in his career, and his collaboration with icon artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Chick Corea, the Vienna Philharmonic and Herbie Hancock made him a unique music ambassador.
